Bright Ejike Stars In Heartland Win Over FC Taraba

The Naze Millionaires and Pride of Taraba were both looking for points following their failure to do so in their midweek encounters.
The match got off to a lively start, with Ejike slotting home Collins Nwaneri’s cross in the fifth minute.
Taraba pressed the home side in search of the equaliser, but Heartland showed high level of concentration and organisation in defence.
Luther Iyorhe saw his flick cleared off the line as Taraba probed the homers.
The hosts started attacking again and they finally found the second goal they had been looking for on the half hour mark.
Koffi got a well deserved goal after beating the goalkeeper with a fierce shot from long range to make it 2-0.
In the end, Heartland managed to protect their lead and recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory over Taraba to move to fifth on the log, and 5 points behind leaders Sunshine Stars.
