Obinna Nwobodo Undergoes Successful ACL Surgery
Published: July 08, 2015Enugu Rangers young star Obinna Nwobodo’s operation in Doha, Qatar to repair his anterior cruciate ligament has been described as a success by the player himself.
The Nigeria Under 20 international did not feature at the 2015 Fifa Under 20s in New Zealand after sustaining an injury in the showpiece game of the African Youth Championship.
The Nigeria Federation has issued a statement that Obinna Nwobodo was delighted with the surgery carried out by doctors at ASPETAR Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital.
“I am very happy, and I thank God and the NFF for making this possible,”Obinna Nwobodo said to thenff.com.
The 18 - year - old will spend at least the next five weeks in Doha convalescing before returning to Nigeria.
