UEFA Youth League : Eight Nigerian Young Stars In Action In Opening Round
Eight Nigerian young stars were in action in the opening round of the UEFA Youth League.<br /><br /><b>Temitayo Aina</b> and <b>Fikayo Tomori </b>went the distance as defending champions Chelsea defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 3 - 0 at Cobham Training Centre.<br /><br />Roma were held to a goalless draw by Barcelona. Fullback <b>Nura Abdullahi </b>started and completed the game while <b>Sadiq Umar </b>was subbed off in the 78th minute.<br /><br />Arsenal Under 19s won their opening match of Group F against Dinamo Zagreb. <b>Alex Iwobi </b>was impressive for the Gunners and would have scored from close range in the second half but was denied by goalkeeper Semper.<br /><br /><b>Aaron Eyoma</b> joined the fray four minutes from time while Tolaji Bola did not make the squad.<br /><br />On Tuesday, <b>Tosin Adarabioyo</b> worked 90 minutes in defense as Manchester City thrashed Juventus 4 - 1.
