Mexico Coach : Decisions Made By Golden Eaglets Players Are Not Of An U17 Player
Former coach of the Mexico Under 17 team, Raúl Gutiérrez, who was in the dugout when they won the 2011 Fifa World Cup, has suggested that Nigerian players are above the age limit, arguing that he has noticed differences in physical development and decision making.

The retired Mexico international also complained that the Nigeria U17s squad he faced in 2013 had developed more physically than his side.

“It’s the same with the Nigeria team, so with Mali, that beyond the physical development decisions made by many of their players are not of an Under 17 player, ” Raúl Gutiérrez told mediotiempo.com.

Nonetheless, Gutiérrez believes Mexico can beat Nigeria when both countries meet in the semi - finals of the 2015 Fifa Under 17s on Thursday but admitted that it will be difficult.

“Sure we can beat them, every game is different and safe for our team will be different than the other generations, I think Mexico can have a good result on Thursday.

“In football nothing is written, everyone already knows that the game will be complex, we will face an opponent with a winning record, but you must play the game, the matches are defined on the field and have to think that way, ” says Gutiérrez.

Raúl Gutiérrez concluded by saying the eventual winner of the tie between Nigeria and Mexico has a strong chance to lift the Cup.
