NFF President Drops BIG Hint Amuneke Will Be Elevated After Fifa U17s
Published: November 04, 2015The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, will be among the spectators when the Golden Eaglets tackle Los Niños Héroes at the Fifa U17 World Cup on Thursday night.
Pinnick left for Chile on Monday evening, a day after the national team qualified for the last four of the Fifa Under 17s for the eighth time since the inception of the competition in 1985.
“I am very excited with the way the team has played so far, raising our country’s flag very high,” said Pinnick.
“The Head Coach (Emmanuel Amuneke) has shown tremendous maturity and has managed the team and everything around it brilliantly.”
The NFF supremo has strongly hinted that coach Emmanuel Amuneke will be elevated after the tourney, adding that he has shamed his critics with the brilliant performance of the Golden Eaglets.
“Amuneke is the kind of person you would naturally recommend for higher responsibilities.
“He has clearly rubbished all insinuations and dark innuendoes against him and has continued to do a marvelous job quietly. He has earned his respect,” he concluded.
