Samson Siasia Targets Africa U-23 Cup of Nations Final
Published: November 29, 2015Coach Samson Siasia fancies the Dream Team’s chances of qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The Nigeria Under 23s were not one of the 16 teams that participated at the London Games after they were beaten by Morocco and Senegal at the inaugural CAF U-23 Championship.
“We were the last team to arrive Senegal and by extension we will be the last team to leave Senegal,” Siasia said.
“For me my target is to play 5 matches here in Senegal, and with the team I have on ground here in Senegal, that target of mine is achievable.”
The former Nantes forward added that he won silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and would love to win a gold medal.
