Hope Akpan Rescues Blackburn Rovers From Defeat
Blackburn Rovers managed to rescue a point in their Championship clash against Nedum Onuoha’s Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night thanks to Hope Akpan’s equalizer five minutes from time.

On 24 minutes, Leroy Fer gave the visitors the lead before the Nigeria international restored parity, nodding home Ben Marshall’s long throw at the far post.

Akpan has now featured 22 times in the Championship since his arrival at Ewood Park from Reading on August 11, 2015 and has scored two goals.

Of the last 13 games contested by Blackburn Rovers in the second - tier, the Anglo - Nigerian has gone the distance 12 times.

Hope Akpan and his Blackburn Rovers teammates will next be in action on Saturday against Brighton & Hove.
