Azubuike Egwuekwe Scores On Competitive Debut For KuPS
Super Eagles stopper Azubuike Egwuekwe scored on his competitive debut for Finnish club KuPS in their 3-0 win over MP in the League Cup on Friday.

The 26-year-old was able to make his debut for KuPS after the Nigeria Football Federation sent his International Transfer Certificate to Finland few days ago.

After a goalless first-half, KuPS were 2-0 up as at the 75th minute before Egwuekwe added more gloss to the scoreline by scoring the final goal in the 78th minute.

The former Warri Wolves skipper worked a ninety-minute shift in defense, while new signings Gbolahan Salami and Paul Onobi were not listed for the encounter.

Azubuike Egwuekwe has penned a 1+1 year deal with club from Kuopio.
