Sporting Kansas Whiz Selbol Tipped To Shine In 2016 By Major League Soccer
Former Golden Eaglets trainee Nansel Selbol has been tipped by Major League Soccer to be one of the breakout players in the United Soccer League ahead of the start of the new season on Friday.

The attacking midfielder was snapped up by Swope Park Rangers, a club owned by Sporting Kansas City, in January 2016 after displaying his wares for the Under 18 squad of the Wizards.

“The speedy Nigerian stands just 5-foot-4, but is tricky on the ball and eager to take on defenders one-v-one,” the editors of MLSsoccer.com said about Selbol.

“Sharing a training pitch with experienced goalscorers like Dom Dwyer and new Ranger Dane Kelly will be a huge boost ahead of the club’s first-ever season.”

A product of Pawas Soccer Academy, Selbol is understood to be on the radar of Dream Team VI coach Samson Siasia, who contemplated inviting him for the international friendly against Brazil but he failed to make the roster eventually.

Four other young stars Marco Bustos (Vancouver Whitecaps),Ricardo Velazco (Real Monarchs),Ryo Fujii (LA Galaxy II) and Luca Uccello (Toronto FC II) were also tipped to break out in 2016.
