Nigeria National League Holds Congress
Published: April 05, 2016The Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi led Ad Hoc Committee set up by the Nigeria Football Federation has hinted that the Annual Congress of the Nigeria National League (The NNL),will now hold Wednesday 6th of April.2016 in the nation’s capital territory, Abuja as a precursor to the kick off of the League.
The Ad Hoc Committee was put in place on February 16, 2016 by the country’s Football ruling body to study and compose governance structures for Nigeria’s second tie Football League
The composition those to fashion out and over see the running of the NNL also has Alloy Chukwuemeka ,Dodo Isah as members with Lawrence Katken as Secretary.
They were mandated to report back to the Executive Committee of the NFF after four weeks.
The AdHoc Committee will conduct the Congress and are expected to announce a new date for the NNL commencement after the draws for the 2015/16 season have been performed.
The kick off of the League has severally been postponed following the decision by the NFF to set up the Adhoc Committee and the expiration of the tenure of the former League board led by Emeka Inyama .
New rules and guidelines to run the League will also be adopted. Chairmen of ALL clubs in the League are expected to be in attendance for the Congress,scheduled to hold at the foremost Top Rank hotel in the FCT.
Arrival has been fixed for Tuesday 5th, with the Congress proper starting nine o’clock in the morning.
