NK Olimpija Frontman Eleke Waiting To Hear Good News From Nigeria Coach Siasia
Published: April 09, 2016NK Olimpija Ljubljana frontman Blessing Eleke is waiting to hear good news from Samson Siasia regarding his invitation to the Nigeria U23s ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
It has been claimed by Eleke that he was one of the foreign-based professionals invited to the Dream Team VI before the 2015 All - Africa Games, but his former club ND Gorica did not release him for the competition which fell outside Fifa’s international match calendar.
“My former club did not allow me go the last time they invited me, they sent an invitation to my club . Since that time, I have not heard from them again,” said Blessing Eleke to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“For me, I want them to invite me again, I am waiting for someone from the team to contact me again.
“It is always a good opportunity to be in the Nigeria squad and play for my country. I will be happy to play for my country and I am looking forward to it.”
Eleke, 20, is the second highest goalscorer in the Slovenian PrvaLiga this season with 13 goals to his name.
