Brazil Slayer Ubong Ekpai Set To Follow In The Footsteps Of Aiyegbeni, In Talks With Maccabi Haifa
Nigeria U23 international Ubong Ekpai has arrived in Israel for negotiations with Premier League side Maccabi Haifa, with a view to a transfer in the summer.

The official website of The Greens has reported that the Akwa United striker has passed a medical examination and will begin training with the team.

If Ubong Ekpai impresses manager Ronny Levy during the workouts plus test games and he is offered a contract, he will follow in the footsteps of Yakubu Aiyegbeni, who defended the colours of the club from 1998–2003.

The 20-year-old netted the match-winning goal for the Nigeria U23s in their friendly against Brazil last month.

Emmanuel Abuma King recently penned a multi-year contract with Maccabi Haifa and plays for the youth team of the club.
