Emenike Returns To Fenerbahce After Loan Spell With West Ham
Published: May 30, 2016West Ham will not activate the option to acquire former Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike from Fenerbahce following the expiration of the loan agreement between the parties.
According to Turkish Sports daily Fanatik, the attacker will have to return to the Yellow Canaries and see what the future holds.
Emenike failed to impress while at the Hammers for the second part of the 2015-2016 season, netting only two goals in sixteen appearances across all competitions.
A departure from Fenerbahçe remains a possibility when the window reopens, as his relationship with the fans is far from cordial.
He is contracted to the Istanbul club until June 30, 2018.
