Heartland Ready To Sell Want-away GK Obi To FC Ifeanyi Ubah For N10M
Published: June 06, 2016Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Heartland of Owerri have agreed the sale of Ebele Obi to an interested suitor who can meet their N10 million valuation of the goalkeeper, nothing more and nothing less.
Obi, the elder brother of Chelsea star Mikel, has been absent from training for about a week as he tries to force a move to FC Ifeanyi Ubah, and it remains to be seen if he will participate in today’s workout scheduled to start at 1530 hours.
Ebele Obi was not in Heartland’s 18-man squad for the derby against Enugu Rangers on Sunday but was at the Stadium and watched from the stands as his replacement, Phillip Acho, conceded two goals.
Few days back, the Naze Millionaires vowed not to sell the shot-stopper but had a change of heart as they don’t want to keep an unhappy player in the squad.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah are yet to firm up their interest in Ebele Obi by tabling an official bid.
