Chievo Verona In Carpi Contact For Nigerian Striker Mbakogu

Nigerian striker Jerry Mbakogu may not go down with demoted Carpi if transfer reports are anything to go by.

Italian newspaper Modena Il Resto del Carlino is reporting that Chievo Verona have opened talks with Mbakogu regarding the possibility of joining the club in the summer.

Born in Lagos 23 years ago, the attacker is under contract with Carpi until June 30, 2019 having penned a multi-year deal with the club back in 2014.

He previously starred for Scorzè Peseggia, Padova, Palermo and Juve Stabia.
