Chelsea Defender Kenneth Omeruo Confirms He Will Join Besiktas
Published: July 04, 2016Chelsea stopper Kenneth Omeruo has accepted a transfer to Super Lig champions Be�ikta� and will travel to Turkey in the coming days for his official unveiling.
It has been claimed that the central defender was on the wishlist of an unnamed team in Germany before deciding to pitch his tent at the Black Eagles.
“Kenneth Omeruo is in London now. He is going to sign for Besiktas, the deal has been concluded for sure, ” a top source close to Omeruo told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“A team in Germany was interested in him before he chose to join Besiktas.”
Omeruo, 22, is yet to make his competitive debut for Chelsea since he joined the club from Standard Liege in 2012, and has enjoyed loan spells at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough and Kasımpa�a .
The Nigeria national-teamer will remain at Besiktas on loan until the end of the 2016-2017 season.
