Agent, Club React To Reports Kelechi Nwakali Will Be Loaned Out By Arsenal
Published: July 08, 2016CEO ASJ Academy Emeka Amajiriaku has played down speculations in the
local media which claimed that Arsenal-bound midfielder Kelechi Nwakali
will be loaned out to by the Premier League club next season.
And he has based his argument on the fact that there are still some minor details to be sorted out before the transfer is finalized, so talks of the Nigeria U20 international heading to Belgium on loan are premature.
“Until he travels to Arsenal it is still a rumour, Arsenal have not communicated to us that he will be sent on loan. Is it possible to loan a player you have not seen or concluded his deal? ” said Emeka Amajiriaku to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Arsenal have been in touch with us asking for his release and the plan is that he will travel to the United Kingdom two or three days after the Flying Eagles return from Sudan, putting into consideration the illness of his elder brother who was attacked this week. ”
Kelechi Nwakali’s bonafide agent, his elder brother Allwell, is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital after he was attacked by hoodlums on Monday night, and echoed the words of the CEO of ASJ when contacted.
Nwakali said : “If Kelechi is going out on loan, we will be the right people to give out that information. Those are speculations and Arsenal have not yet informed us.”
Arsenal have already reached an agreement in principle with Kelechi Nwakali and his representatives and he is expected to pen a five-year contract.
