Top Five Biggest Transfers Involving Nigerian Players This Summer
With the transfer window set to close for business in the major European Leagues at the end of this month, allnigeriasoccer.com’s transfer market expert reveals the top five deals involving Nigerian players so far this summer.

1) Ahmed Musa (CSKA Moscow to Leicester City)

CSKA Moscow made a profit of 14 million euros for shredding their agreement with Musa before its expiration. 

The Super Eagles vice-captain arrived England with a big reputation, with Champions League and World Cup experience under his belt. Was courted by Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Southampton before he agreed terms with the Foxes.

Transfer Fee : €19 million

2) Isaac Success ( Granada to Watford)

The former Golden Eaglets star is expected to match the huge transfer fee Watford paid to secure his services from Granada.

The BJ Foundation product was courted by the likes of PSG, Inter Milan and Atlético Madrid before penning a multi-year contract with the Hornets. Success has not made his competitive debut due to fitness concerns.

3) Kelechi Nwakali ( Diamond Academy to Arsenal)

The Flying Eagles skipper has been touted to be the poor man’s Yaya Toure. Arsenal activated the contract they agreed with the midfielder and his reps when he attained the age of majority.

The question now is what team will he join on loan in the January transfer window, having failed to secure a work permit that will enable him play Premier League football.

Kelechi Nwakali, 18, has penned a five-year contract tying him to Arsenal until June 30, 2021.

4) Eddy Onazi ( Lazio to Trabzonspor)

The important Super Eagles player had a breakthrough season at Lazio during the 2013-2014 campaign, but found playing opportunities difficult to come by last term, so a transfer was a possibility this summer and it materialized.

Onazi showed he is not the finished article, scoring a brace on his debut for Trabzonspor in their 2-0 win over Kasımpa�a on the opening day of the season in Turkey.

Transfer Fee : €3.5 million

5) Jordon Ibe ( Liverpool to Bournemouth )

The arrival of the England youth international at BH7 7AF signaled that Bournemouth want to retain their top-flight status at the end of this season.

The 20-year-old Ibe had to seek pastures new after falling down the pecking order at Liverpool in the second half of last season. Has started both games in the Premier League.
