Chelsea, Man City, Leicester City, Watford Stars Named In Nigeria Lineup To Face Tanzania
Nigeria coach Gernoit Rohr has announced his starting line-up ahead of Saturday’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in Uyo. <br /><br />The big news is that the German has decided to pick Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme as the man to protect the goalposts ahead of home-based pair Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Emmanuel Daniel.<br /><br />Otherwise there are no major surprises in the line-up, with Musa Mohammed, Elderson Echiejile, William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun nominated to start in defense .<br /><br />The midfield consists of John Obi Mikel, Eddy Onazi and Man City teenage star Kelechi Iheanacho. <br /><br />Watford striker Odion Ighalo leads the charge for goals and he is flanked by Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa and Chelsea dazzler Victor Moses. <br /><br />The game kicks off at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium at 1700 hours. <br /><br /><b>Nigeria Starting XI </b>: Ikeme; Mohammed, Echiejile, Troost-Ekong, Balogun; Mikel, Onazi, Iheanacho; Musa, Moses and Ighalo.<br /><br /><b>Substitutes</b> : Ezenwa, Abdullahi, Alimi, Ndidi, Simon, Igiebor, Ideye <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : chelseafc.com<br />
