Impressive Joel Obi Subbed Out Against Roma After Picking Up Injury
Published: September 25, 2016Out-of-favour Nigeria international Joel Obi might be set for another spell on the sidelines, with the Torino midfielder suffering an injury in his side’s ongoing Serie A clash against Roma.
The former Inter Milan star requested to be substituted in the 23rd minute after he fell on the Olimpico di Torino turf.
Prior to Obi’s substitution, he was impressive for the Granata and provided an assist for the opening goal scored by Belotti after only eight minutes.
The injury-prone attacking midfielder managed ten appearances in the Italian top-flight last term after struggling with injuries.
The 25-year-old was left out of the Super Eagles 2014 World Cup roster after failing to prove his injury problems are behind him during the get-together.
