Watford Strikers Ighalo & Success, Chelsea Ace Moses, Balogun To Return For Algeria Game?
Published: October 24, 2016
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is set to hand recalls to Watford strikers Odion Ighalo and Isaac Success, Chelsea new wing-back Victor Moses and Mainz stopper Leon Balogun for the World Cup qualifier against Algeria next month.
Complete Sports, citing an unnamed Nigeria Football Federation insider, claims that the four foreign-based professionals will be included in the 25-man roster for the cracker on November 12.
Ighalo was excused from the meeting against Zambia because it coincided with the burial of his late dad, while Success, Moses and Balogun suffered injuries which prevented the trio from honouring the invitation.
Of the aforementioned players, only the Hornets number ten is back in the treatment room, though there was positive news from Hertfordshire on Monday afternoon, with the former Flying Eagles star claiming that the injury is not as bad as first feared.
Rohr is expected to submit his list of invited players on or before Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
