'The longest' - Pundit claims Osimhen's stride is unlike anything seen in the Turkish Super Lig
Published: April 25, 2025
Gokhan Dinc has heaped praise on Victor Osimhen, lauding the Nigerian striker's explosive athleticism and impact since joining Galatasaray.
The Nigeria international has made a splash since his loan move from Napoli, registering 37 goal involvements in 35 appearances across all competitions.
Thanks to Osimhen's goalscoring exploits, Galatasaray are chasing a double, having advanced to the Turkish Cup final and leading the Super Lig table with six games remaining in the season.
Speaking on the BTV YouTube channel, Dinc declared that Osimhen’s stride is unlike anything seen in the Turkish Super Lig.
In quotes relayed by habersarikirmizi.com, he said: "I claim that the step Osimhen takes in one sprint is the longest in the Turkish League. While Osimhen takes one step, many players can only catch up by taking two steps."
Dinc went further, calling Osimhen a 'great hero,' noting the striker has filled the void left by Mauro Icardi.
Aware that the former African Footballer of the Year is likely to leave Galatasaray for good in June 2025, Dinc also shared his bittersweet feelings about the season's conclusion.
"Osimhen is a great hero. Icardi was the hero of the two seasons. Now Icardi is gone, Osimhen is here.
"I applaud the Galatasaray management. It is a very important move to bring such a star who embraces his team to this point at this age."
He added: "I am sad because the last weeks are left. I am happy that Galatasaray made it to the finals because we will watch Osimhen once more.
"We will watch one more match. I am saying it sincerely, I am jealous of Osimhen but as a football fan, watching Osimhen is a great pleasure for me."
The future of Victor Osimhen is once again set to dominate the headlines both at home and abroad this summer as he is expected to end his association with Napoli.
Manchester United and Arsenal have been ruled out of the race for the former Wolfsburg starlet.
