Ejaria Set For Emotional Meeting With Manu Garba, Named In England U20 Squad To Face Nigeria
Published: November 03, 2016Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria is set to face the Nigeria team at the Continental Cup 2016 scheduled to take place in South Korea next week.
The former Golden Eaglets trainee is among the five players of Nigerian descent named in the England U20 squad by interim head coach Paul Williams, the others being Fikayo Tomori, Josh Onomah, Ademola Lookman and Dominic Solanke.
England begin their campaign at the tourney with a game against the Manu Garba-led U19 team on November 9 at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, before facing hosts South Korea and Iran.
Ahead of the tournament, Coach Manu Garba has started running the rule over twenty five players in Abuja.
The ex-Nigeria U17 coach declared Ejaria surplus to requirements after training with the squad in the summer of 2013 before they won the World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
