Iheanacho, Mikel, Iwobi, Moses, Musa, Ighalo Gives Algeria Coach Goosebumps
Published: November 07, 2016
Algeria manager Georges Leekens has noticed a big improvement in the Super Eagles squad after studying the tapes of their last three international matches, including the World Cup qualifier with Zambia in October.
According to Le Buteur, Leekens, who coached the Tunisian national team in 2014 and 2015, has an idea of the Nigeria team as he was preparing his squad to face them at the 2015 African Nations Cup but they did not qualify eventually.
The Belgian has noticed radical changes in the Nigeria roster, with the likes of Premier League stars Mikel and Moses (Chelsea), Alex Iwobi (Arsenal), Iheanacho (Man City), Odion Ighalo (Watford) and Ahmed Musa (Leicester City) all called up by Rohr .
The latest from the North African country is that he has started mapping out plans to stop the stars in the Nigerian ranks from playing their game, bearing it in mind that they have impressed for their clubs this season.
