New Paul Pogba, Ejaria Benched For England Against Nigeria
Published: November 09, 2016Liverpool young midfielder Ovie Ejaria was a non-playing substitute in England’s 8-1 rout of Nigeria U19s at the Continental Cup on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old former Arsenal talent and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Josh Onomah were the only players of Nigerian descent not given a run out by Young Lions interim head coach Paul Williams.
Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke was in action for 75 minutes and put England 3-0 up in the 25th minute.
England U20 number 15 Fikayo Tomori came on with fifteen minutes remaining, while Charlton Athletic wonderkid Ademola Lookman was introduced in the 82nd minute.
Abdulrazak Yusuf scored what proved to be a consolation goal for Nigeria in the 35th minute.
