Ex-Nigeria U20 Star Sammy Ameobi Inspires Bolton Wanderers To FA Cup Win
Published: December 04, 2016Former Nigeria U20 international Sammy Ameobi produced an assured display as Bolton Wanderers advanced to the third round of the Emirates FA Cup thanks to their 3-2 win over Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon.
The Newcastle United loanee’s goal, plus a Gary Madine strike and an effort from Josh Vela assisted the Trotters secure a win over the Blades at Macron Stadium.
A minute after the first half interval, Ameobi put Bolton Wanderers two goals up when he fired home from 25 yards.
The 24-year-old has found the net in every competition he has featured for the third-tier club this term : the League One, EFL Trophy and FA Cup.
Sammy Ameobi was replaced in the 81st minute against Sheffield United.
