Odion Ighalo : Watford, All Premier League Teams Want Talented Mikel
Published: December 09, 2016Watford striker Odion Ighalo has urged manager Walter Mazzarri to make a move for Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel in the January transfer window.
With the holding midfielder’s deal with the Blues set to run out in the next six months, Ighalo thinks he won’t be lacking suitors and has called his international teammate a very talented player.
“I would like it if Mikel joined me at Watford, ” Ighalo said on SuperSport’s Fan Zone.
“He is my captain at the national team. Apart from that he is a very good player, very talented.
“There is no team in the Premier League that will not want to have such a player.
“I am happy I have played with him so I will be very happy to have him in my team.”
Mikel, 29, has not played a competitive game for Chelsea this term upon his return to Stamford Bridge from the Olympic Games.
