Chelsea Starlet Abraham Keeps Nigeria Waiting On International Future Ahead Of WCQ Against Cameroon
Published: December 23, 2016
Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham has delayed a decision regarding his international future with the Nigeria Football Federation and English FA interested in his services.
NFF supremo Amaju Pinnick is close to Tammy’s dad and is confident of luring the highly-rated striker to turn out for the Super Eagles rather than the Three Lions at senior level.
“I just hope, wherever it is, that I am playing at the top international level, whoever that is for,” Abraham told goal.com.
“It isn’t time to make decisions at the moment.”
Aged 19, the Londoner has averaged 0.5 goals per game for Bristol City where he is spending the whole of the 2016-17 season on loan from Chelsea.
Nigeria Football Federation vice-president Akinwunmi earlier suggested that Tammy Abraham was in line to make his competitive debut for the Super Eagles when they take on Cameroon in their next World Cup qualifier.
