Rohr : Hannover Most Promising Talent Sarenren-Bazee Will Be Called Up For Senegal Friendly
Published: January 04, 2017
Hannover striker Noah-Joel Sarenren-Bazee, 20, could make his international debut for the Super Eagles when they tackle Senegal in an international friendly in March, with manager Rohr suggesting that he has pledged his international future to Nigeria.
Touted as Hannover’s biggest talent in recent years, the German Federation are following the progress of Sarenren-Bazee and previously invited him to their U18 squad.
Born in Lower Saxony to a German mother and a Nigerian father, Sarenren-Bazee made his debut for Hannover against Hertha BS, and played four more games in the Bundesliga before his team suffered relegation at the end of last season.
“We have found a player in Germany who was playing in the Bundesliga last year but has gone down on relegation. He is 20 years old, ” Rohr said at Tuesday’s press conference.
“He told me it’s an honour for him to come to play for the country of his father, his mother is German.
“He is like Balogun, very quick and very good. Hopefully he will come too. ”
Sarenren-Bazee has struggled with injuries in the current season, which has limited his appearances in the German 2 Bundesliga to just 6 games and 395 minutes of game time.
