Chelsea Loanee Abraham Sets New Personal Record After Scoring Against Cardiff City
Published: January 14, 2017For the fourth straight match in the Championship, England U21 international Tammy Abraham was on target as Bristol City lost 3-2 to Cardiff City at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon.
The Chelsea loanee gave the home team a 2-1 lead in the 78th minute after he beat goalkeeper Brian Murphy with an overhead kick, but the Welsh team secured a win with two goals in the last eight minutes.
After registering his name on the scorecard against The Bluebirds today, Abraham surpassed his previous personal record of scoring in three consecutive matches, which was set between August 27 - September 13, 2016.
Prior to this weekend’s matches, only Newcastle United’s Dwight Gayle and Brighton’s Glenn Murray were ahead of him in the scoring charts.
Abraham, 19, has scored 18 goals in all competitions so far this season.
