Official : Seattle Sounders Sign Seyi Adekoya To Homegrown Contract
Published: January 19, 2017Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders have announced that they have signed American-born Nigerian talent Seyi Adekoya to a homegrown contract ahead of the new season.
Adekoya, 21, previously represented UCLA, and finished his college career with 20 goals plus 8 assists in 55 games.
The Seattle native was ranked the fasted player at the Sounders Academy back in the 2013-2014 season.
The attacker, who is a product of Lakeside School, is the ninth Homegrown Player in the history of Seattle Sounders, and follows in the footsteps of another player of Nigerian descent Sean Okoli.
