Ex-Arsenal Whizkid Chuks Aneke Wins Man Of The Match Award After Brace
Published: January 22, 2017
MK Dons defeated Northampton Town 5-3 in League Two on Saturday with former Arsenal wonderkid Chuks Aneke bagging a brace and providing an assist for the hosts at Stadium MK.
The Nigerian striker was involved in the first three goals scored by MK Dons, setting up Kieran Agard for the opener before scoring two goals either side of the break.
Undoubtedly, this was Aneke’s best performance in a MK Dons shirt since his arrival in the summer and he picked up the Man of the Match accolade after spending 76 minutes on the pitch.
The 23-year-old missed the first eighteen games of the season due to a cruciate ligament injury he picked up while playing in Belgium for SV Zulte Waregem.
Aneke, who was courted by the Nigerian Federation in the past to represent the Super Eagles, has played for England U16, U17, U18 and U19 teams.
