Igboananike Departs Major League Soccer, Training With AIK
Published: January 23, 2017Kennedy Igboananike has ended his collaboration with Major League Soccer clubs after two years, and a return to Sweden might be on the cards.
Allsvenskan side AIK have informed via their official website that the former DC United and Chicago Fire frontman is training with the club ahead of a transfer.
“As always, it’s fun when players who previously represented AIK asks if there is an opportunity to train with us, ” sports director Bjorn Wesström said.
“We have said that it’s okay that he trains with us until we set off on the training camp in Dubai next week.”
Igboananike, 27, has also sported the jerseys of Swedish teams Djurgården and Vasalund.
