Second Highest Paid Nigerian Player Continues Fine Form With Brace

Obafemi Martins continued his impressive run of form with a brace as Chinese Super League club Shanghai Greenland Shenhua thrashed Australian team Sydney United in a warm-up game on Wednesday evening local time.
Ahead of their Champions League tie versus Brisbane Roar at Hongkou Stadium on February 8, Shanghai Shenhua arranged a friendly with the Australian opponents.
Martins opened the scoring in the 30th minute and gave the Chinese team a three-goal lead with 20 minutes remaining.
The Nigeria international bagged a hat-trick against YSCC Yokohama before netting the only goal of the game in another friendly against Gwangju FC on January 24.
With wages of nine million dollars per season, the former Inter Milan and Newcastle United star is now the second highest paid Nigerian professional footballer, behind Changchun Yatai new signing Odion Ighalo, who earns MORE THAN 200,000 pounds per week.
