Hardworking Midfielder Ndidi Added To Leicester City Champions League Roster
Published: February 03, 2017
English Premier League champions Leicester City have submitted their updated Champions League roster to UEFA following the close of the January transfer window, with Super Eagles hardworking midfielder Wilfred Ndidi included.
Ndidi, 20, participated in the group stage of the Europa League but is eligible to play for the Foxes against Sevilla on February 22, and the same applies to Super Eagles teammate Ahmed Musa.
Ex-Golden Eaglets trainee Chidozie Awaziem (Porto) and Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho missed out on their respective teams A list but are eligible for the competition via the B list as both U21 players have played for their clubs nonstop for the past two years.
Austria international David Alaba has retained his spot on the Bayern Munich roster submitted to UEFA.
Two English-born Nigerian talents Chuba Akpom and Aaron Eyoma have been axed from Arsenal squad after they sealed loan moves last month.
