Gbolahan Salami’s wife and his one-year old son have been stopped from entering Finland after they were refused a visa by the authorities.
And if the Finnish Embassy in Abuja does not rescind its decision, the Nigeria international won’t be able to see his family until November 2017 when the season would have ended.
According to Savon Sanomissa, KuPS CEO Jarmo Heiskanen is not pleased with the development and has argued that his top striker of last season pays his taxes in Finland, has an apartment and his standard of living is better than the average Finnish citizen.
“If you think about it the other way around, a Finnish man could be disappointed pretty badly, if he should not see his family for almost a year in Nigeria at work, ” Jarmo Heiskanen said.
