Super Eagles Coach Rohr Visits Popular Balogun Market & Has A Photo For Leon
Published: February 16, 2017
Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr was pleased to visit the popular Balogun Market located on Lagos Island in Lagos State, and has said that he will send a photograph to one of his defenders Leon Balogun.
Contrary to Rohr’s thoughts, Leon Balogun’s father is a native of Ijebu Ode, a town in Ogun State which is 70 miles from Lagos Island.
“We went to Balogun market, it was wonderful and a big crowd and some people spoke about football. You must beat Cameroon, they kept telling me,” Rohr said to Super Eagles YouTube page.
“I took a photo because I will send it to Leon Balogun. His father comes from there, I think.
“I had a beautiful day in Lagos. In this big city, very nice people, everybody is big on hospitality. ”
The German coach is back in Nigeria after working as a pundit and scouting Nigeria’s WCQ opponents Cameroon and Algeria at the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
