Nwakali Has No Plans To Extend MVV Stay, Wants Arsenal To Process Work Permit
Flying Eagles skipper Kelechi Nwakali is not expected to extend his loan spell at Dutch club MVV Maastricht, according to his adviser and brother Allwell Nwakali.

The attacking midfielder was shipped out on loan shortly after arriving the Emirates Stadium outfit last summer after failing to get a UK work permit, and Nwakali Senior has urged the Gunners to process the document, adding that he's good enough to play for their first team.

''I don't think Kelechi will remain at Maastricht, I will have a meeting with his intermediary soon to know the way forward,'' said Allwell Nwakali to allnigeriasoccer.com.

''For now, it doesn't appear he is remaining with Maastricht. As soon as the league finishes his contract with them has ended. We will now look at other options though nothing has been discussed with Arsenal yet.

''The best thing for Arsenal to do is to get him a work permit, so that even though they are taking him on loan he has the permit. But he has the qualities to play for Arsenal in midfield. ''

Kelechi Nwakali has totaled 28 appearances (2 goals) in all competitions for MVV ahead of their fixture on Friday night against Jong PSV.
