Brighton Confirm Arsenal, Chelsea Nigerian Talents Will Not Be Signed On Permanent Basis
Newly promoted Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion have announced their retained list following the completion of the 2016-2017 campaign.

The Seagulls have confirmed that Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom and Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori, who enjoyed successful loan spells with the club in the second half of the season, will not be signed on a permanent basis for the time being.

''Pocognoli, Tomori and Akpom have now returned to their parent clubs from West Bromwich Albion, Chelsea and Arsenal respectively," Brighton stated on their official webpage.

Between them, the Nigerian pair made 20 appearances for Brighton over the course of the season.

Akpom spent the whole of the 2015-2016 season on loan at Hull City and helped the Tigers secure promotion to the top flight.
