Official : Chesterfield FC Secure The Signature Of Vastly Improved Striker Ugwu
Published: May 25, 2017Through official channels, League Two club Chesterfield FC have announced that they have secured the signature of Gozie Ugwu, subject to the Nigerian forward passing a routine medical.
The 24-year-old, who arrives the The Spireites from National League outfit Woking, has signed a two-year contract.
In his first words after the transfer was announced, Ugwu told Chesterfield's official website : ''There was interest from other clubs as well but Chesterfield stood out for me.
''I spoke to the manager and I pretty much knew what my decision would be. I also spoke to Gboly Ariyibi and he had good things to say about the club.''
Previously, Ugwu represented Ebbsfleet United, Yeovil Town, Plymouth Argyle, Shrewsbury Town, Dunfermline and Wycombe.
