Fulham Midfielder Tayo Edun Named In England Squad Ahead Of U19 EURO
Published: June 01, 2017A player of Nigerian descent has been named in the England U19 squad for a training camp in Spain ahead of this summer's 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
Fulham starlet Tayo Edun has been selected in a 23-man roster announced by the English FA on Thursday.
The 19-year-old impressed as the Young Lions qualified for the Euros, starting against Norway, Spain and Belarus and registered his maiden goal in England colours against the Scandinavian opponents.
London-born Edun, who is a defensive midfielder, played for England U17 and U18 before debuting for the U19s against the Netherlands last September.
Five players will be axed from the roster before the squad travels to Georgia for the European Championship.
Tayo Edun played three times for the first team of Fulham over the course of last season.
