Ex-Golden Eaglets Trainee, Hailed As The Next Paul Pogba, Tipped To Start For England Vs Italy
Published: June 06, 2017 Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria is in line to feature in the biggest game of his career when the England U20s face off against Italy in the semifinal of the Fifa U20 World Cup on Thursday.
Everything is pointing to the fact that the former Golden Eaglets trainee will make his second start in South Korea , with Spurs youngster Josh Onomah unavailable for selection due to the red card he received against Mexico.
Manager Paul Simpson's selections so far have been easy to predict, Ejaria replaced Onomah after 84 minutes in the 3-0 rout of Argentina in the Young Lions opener and he introduced the ex-Arsenal youth-teamer three minutes after the Spurs man was sent off on Monday.
Ejaria, hailed as the Next Paul Pogba, worked hard defensively and managed to get into goalscoring positions in the three games he has been involved in.
England will qualify for the final for the first time in their history if they beat the Italians.
