Super Eagles Training Session Wednesday, First Thirty Minutes : Here's What Happened
Published: June 07, 2017
The Super Eagles continued their preparations for Saturday's African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa, with another training session held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium this morning.
The players arrived the stadium at 1006 hours, laced their boots and juggled with the ball, then manager Gernot Rohr addressed the team before a brief prayer session.
Shortly afterwards, the players jogged around the pitch, only twice, which lasted four minutes, before they started a stretching exercise.
While the three goalkeepers in camp - Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Dele Alampasu - trained differently, players took turns to pass and throw for each other, before a drill that involved heading the ball.
Kenneth Omeruo (Chelsea), Ahmed Musa (Leicester City) and Elderson Echiejile (Monaco) trained with the team.
Coach Salisu Yusuf dished out instructions on how to pass and move.
