Exclusive: Vitoria Guimaraes Working On Deal To Sign Flying Eagles LB, Dubbed The New Marcelo
Published: July 10, 2017Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães SC are working on a deal to sign Nigeria U20 international Udochukwu Anumudu.
The Primeira Liga outfit have firmed up their interest by inviting the wing-back to undergo trials in Portugal ahead of a potential acquisition.
Subject to a successful visa application, the highly-rated 18-year-old will jet out to Portugal in the next fifteen days.
Teams based in France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Croatia were interested in signing Anumudu before he cherry-picked Vitória Guimarães.
The defender, who has been likened to Real Madrid's Brazil star Marcelo by his minders, was one of the standout players in the Golden Eaglets squad that won the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup.
Udochukwu Anumudu is represented by French-based agent Cedric Mazet, who recently brokered the deal that took Super Eagles left back Elderson Echiejile to Sivasspor.
