Twenty Players Ready To Train With Super Eagles As Onazi, Agbo, Akpeyi Arrive Uyo
Published: October 03, 2017Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that at least 20 players will train with the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Tuesday evening, as three more players have linked up with the team at Le Meridien Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort.
The latest players to join the squad are goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, Trabzonspor midfielder Eddy Onazi and Standard Liege star Uche Agbo.
Five players named to the 23-man roster - Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes FC), Ola Aina (Chelsea), Victor Moses (Chelsea), Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) and Moses Simon (Gent) - have not yet reported for international duty as at 1600 hours.
Onazi is confident that the Super Eagles will book their place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia with one game to spare by beating Zambia on Saturday.
The Super Eagles assistant skipper told the Nigerian Federation : '''We will give all it takes as far as football is concerned. We will play like everything depends on us and pray like everything depends on God.
