Published: October 26, 2017Flying Eagles striker Orji Okonkwo showed off his skills to a representative from Manchester City in Bologna's Serie A clash against Lazio on Wednesday, October 25.
Italian transfer market expert Tuttomercatoweb.com has reported that The Citizens posted one of their scouts at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara (Bologna) to run the rule over a transfer target thought to Serbian-Spanish box-to-box midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Having said that, Okonkwo was able to show the scout what he's made of when he was introduced in the final ten minutes.
Any doubts about the qualities of the 19-year-old and his first-team chances were laid to rest when he netted his maiden goal for Bologna a month ago, becoming the sixth youngest Nigerian player to score in the history of the Italian Serie A
in the process.
The St Thomas Football Club , Benin City product had been on the radar of Premier League champions Chelsea and West Ham prior to his switch to the Rossoblu.
Okonkwo penned a long-term contract with Bologna in the summer of 2016.
