Following popular demand, Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, has finally invited Porto B playmaker Kelechi Nwakali to the team.
The attacking midfielder who is on a season-long loan to the Portuguese side from Arsenal, made the cut for Nigeria's upcoming African Cup Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles.
Rohr has declared that he handed a call up to the former Golden Eagles skipper for him to show what he is capable of doing.
"I invited Nwakali to give him the chance to prove himself. I hope we can play against Saudi Arabia in the friendly match," Rohr said at Friday's press conference attended by allnigeriasoccer.com.
"The technical crew will watch him closely at the training sessions. He is a very young player at Porto B. He has to be disciplined and integrated in a new club and the national team.
"We will give him the opportunity to work and show what he can do. ''
