Wolves Send SOS To English FA To Help Club Land Chelsea Striker Abraham
Published: January 09, 2019Wolverhampton Wanderers have five days left to pull off the deal bringing Nigerian striker Tammy Abraham to the Molineux Stadium.
Chelsea can recall Abraham from his loan spell with Aston Villa if they trigger a recall option in the first two weeks of the January transfer window.
Wolves face a potential stumbling block in their bid to sign Abraham as Fifa rules prevent players from representing three different clubs in a single season.
The England U21 star played for Chelsea in the Community Shield which may be classed as a friendly and was also in action for the U23 team before moving to Aston Villa on loan in August 2018.
According to the online edition of The Sun, Wolves have contacted the English FA to turn up the pressure on Fifa in order to clear up the situation as they did not receive a response when they contacted the global football governing body.
In the meantime, Abraham has resumed training with Aston Villa ahead of their next game against Wigan Athletic on Saturday, January 12.
