London Football Awards: QPR's Eze Battles Guendouzi, Rice, Wan-Bissaka & Grant For YPOTY (U21)
Published: February 03, 2019Nigeria Football Federation target Eberechi Eze has been nominated for the London Football Awards Young Player of the Year (U21).
The Queens Park Rangers playmaker is up against three Premier League stars in the shape of Mattéo Guendouzi (Arsenal), Declan Rice (West Ham United) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Crystal Palace), and Karlan Grant (previously at Charlton Athletic) for the prestigious award.
Eze was the only Nigeria-eligible player nominated for an award, with no player making the the cut for Premier League Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, English Football League Player of the Year and Women’s Player of the Year.
Twenty five days from now, the 20-year-old Eze will find out if he won the YPOTY award.
The London Football Awards celebrate the very best in London clubs consisting of AFC Wimbledon, Arsenal, Brentford, Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Millwall, QPR, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford and West Ham United.
This season, Eze has started all the 29 matches contested by Queens Park Rangers in the Championship.
