Liverpool Hero Labels Ndidi Workaholic & Powerful After Leicester's Loss To Manchester United
Published: February 03, 2019Liverpool legend Graeme Souness was pleased with the performance of Wilfred Ndidi despite Leicester City's narrow 1-0 loss to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Nigeria national-teamer was partnered in central midfield by Nampalys Mendy and Souness has opined that they were industrious in the midfield battle against United's triumvirate of Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba.
A ninth minute goal from in-form Marcus Rashford saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side win their fourth successive Premier League game.
''I was really impressed with Leicester against Liverpool and there were parts of their game today that were good,'' Souness said on Sky Sports Super Sunday, according to Leicester Mercury.
''Mendy and Ndidi in midfield, they’re workaholics, powerful types but they haven’t got that class about them where they can find those spaces and the passes in the last third.''
According to Whoscored stats, Ndidi made three interceptions, three tackles and one clearance over the course of ninety minutes.
